Market Expansion through Strategic Partnership with Korea Franchise Association
Chichipingping has established key strategic partnerships to expand into the Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on the Indonesian market.
The following is a list of KFA member companies that have entered into a joint venture agreement with Chichipingping. Art Creo (CEO: Eunjeong Oh): Operates 250 art academies for children.
ReengKi English (CEO: Sanghyun Woo): Runs 1,000 English academies for children.
MetaEdu (CEO: Jaehyun Joo): Manages 58 regional branches and supplies English, Korean, and Math educational materials to over 3,500 kindergartens and daycare centers nationwide.
This partnership leverages the strong popularity of Korean culture in Indonesia. According to a 2019 Statista survey titled “the popularity of South Korean cuisine in Indonesia,” approximately 60% of respondents rated Korean food as highly popular. Given the robust influence of the Korean Wave across Southeast Asia, this preference is expected to have grown even further.
One successful example is the Korean BBQ restaurant chain Seorae Galmaegi, which operates 94 stores across 10 countries, including Indonesia. Additionally, the Korean Cultural Center Indonesia (https://id.korean-culture.org/id) has forecasted a sharp rise in demand for Korean language learning, underscoring the potential for educational franchises. This trend is also evidenced by local institutions such as Namsan Korean Course (https://namsankoreancourse.com/), which specialize in Korean language education.
Chichipingping is set to sign an MOU with Lippo Group, one of Indonesia’s leading conglomerates. This partnership is expected to facilitate market entry by leveraging local networks and resources. Such collaborations will create synergies with Chichipingping’s global learning content and marketplace, contributing significantly to its market expansion.
